距離總統大選只剩下60幾天，正在美國訪問的國民黨總統參選人朱立倫於美東時間13日下午(台灣時間14日凌晨)受訪時表示，他的副手人選已經差不多確定，等他回台後會再向對方確認一次，預計下週就會公布。
朱立倫於美東時間13日晚間(台灣時間14日上午)受訪時進一步指出，既然副手是搭配，也是國家重要的領導之一，就一定要有些社會經驗或政務經驗，希望未來能配合處理社會關心的事務。
